Tcping for Android?

I use the linux utility "tcping" to troubleshoot network related issues from behind a firewall. I'm not really a coder, but I've been trying for a while to compile it from source on my Android phone because I would like to be able to verify that all of my APs are up when I'm on the road. I haven't had any luck getting it working though.

Does anyone know if this can be ported to Android? http://www.linuxco.de/tcping/tcping.html
