A whole list of video and picture files have been deleted by accident from my ASUS Android tablet (JB version). I now try to get them recovered using Hexamob Reco, but that app is requesting root access. I've tried to get root access through my Windows PC, but the Sdcard of the ASUS tablet shows up in my Windows Explorer as an external Media Device using some MTP communication protocol, and not as a Media Storage device, as it was before Android 4.0. So I am stuck when it comes to getting root access via my Windows PC.
Does anyone know any elegant way for getting root access in JB? Some Android App or utility maybe, or a simple procedure with which I can get root access for sure in JB. NOTE, I do not want to reformat any part of the Sdcard as I still need to recover some deleted files on my ASUS tablet.
