Hello. I have a coby mid1042.8
I have followed Linux Users, Coby 1042, Root, Recovery, Update, All Without Livesuite, and after installing 1042_recovery.zip from the sdcard my coby got stuck at the android logo. I didn't backup my coby --BUT-- I have another coby 1042.8, which I used to backup from CWM, pull the files to my laptop and then push them back to my stuck coby. I tried to restore it in CWM from that and it restores the boot image alright then says "Error while restoring /system!". That didn't work. So I pulled the /system folder from my other coby and pushed it into the broken one, rebooted it, and it booted alright. However, I can't modify /sdcard and /data because it says "Read-only filesystem". Suggestions to fix this or properly restoring?
