gaining root access.. fail

hi

i have a softwinner a13-mid 7 inch tablet, and used superoneclick 2.3.3 to hopefully root the tablet

superoneclick is on my tablet, i open it and click to update the su binarys, but when it gets to "gaining root access.." it says fail.

any ideas?
