Can anyone recommend a phone which is both relatively high spec yet open enough (in terms of making drivers available to download etc.) that I can relatively hassle-free (Given that the Nexus 5 is still missing some key files & apps from its own drivers package - id like to avoid that where possible) so that I can build AOSP 7.1, then be able to install openGapps, for that device?
Maybe one of the OnePlus phones? Or should I stick with the Nexus 5X, or even the new Pixel phone?
Basically, my goal is to build "pure" (discounting any mandatory drivers etc. for that device which would need to be included) AOSP, plus openGapps.
