What's behind Root Genius?

Hi,

I have a Cat S50 smartphone, and after reading the following thread:

Decided to try to root it using Root Genius, as I have found no other way thus far, and can confirm it has successfully rooted my device.

I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone here might be able to answer me:

1) How much malware should I expect from Root Genius?
2) Is there anyway I can find out what vuln/exploit it used to root my device?
