I've owned/operated my Nexus-7 for a year. (It's been updated from JellyBean 4.2(?) to KitKat (4.4.4).
This week, I purchased a Tronsmart CX-919 TV-attached HDMI-dongle, (and
the "Logitech MK 320 Keyboard / Mouse combo") for it. I selected this dongle at
Amazon, because it has the most-recent Android-version I could find, in the HDMI-dongle form factor.
[It's attached to my Samsung 46-inch TV, so I guess you could now say I have
a 46-inch tablet, but of course no touch-screen. ;) ]
Ok, a couple of issues/questions on the behavior of this dongle:
(1) So, I'm in the Chrome-browser, entering say, text in the URL field, or elsewhere.
Once I've forced focus, saying I want to enter text, the virtual keyboard appears on
the screen. Ok, so far. So I enter text until I'm happy, and then hit keyboard's
ENTER KEY. Nope, that key does nothing. They make me grab the mouse and
hit the virtual-keyboard's enter-key (aka 'GO")
Is there someway I can get the keybd's ENTER to work? Or learn to hit some other
keybd key as an equivalent?
(2) There's a widget on home screen showing Ghangshou's weather info, even tho
I've now used 'Settings' to force the clock to my correct Eastern-US timezone.
There's no Satellite/GPS chip in this thing, as far as I know, so where/why is
this widget getting the idea I'm in China? Maybe I just need to discard this
builtin weather-widget and install a different/smarter one?
EDIT: This issue has finally auto-corrected itself and is now a non-issue.
I now am seeing the correct locality specific weather info for my city. So, 'nevermind!'
