[I'd like to make one thing clear - this method worked out on my phone. if anything is to happen to your phone I am not the one to be blamed. do it under your own will. you screw up. you brick your phone. simple]

PROCEDURE-

THINGS YOU'LL NEED-
- phone must be charged upto 50%
- unlockroot software
- micromax a54 drivers (you can find these on the official micromax website)
PROCEDURE-
- copy the downloaded drivers into your sdcard
- enable USB Debiggung and connect your phone to the PC
- invoke unlockroot
- click the HUGE green button ROOT and select your model in the popup
- you might get some prompts - IGNORE
- the rooting procedure will begin
- once done your phone will reboot
- you can find the SU app in the menu
- for further confirmation you can download an app such as root checker
