One of the reason Gramin continues to remain favorite for outdoor sports especially bicyclists even when we have such wonderful apps on android is battery drain. Price isn't the criteria as Gramin continues to be absurdly costly when its functionality is more or less achieved in all android phones.
So what am looking to build is a minimalism image for an entry level phone with
a)most of the GSM/CDMA connectivity and most of the apps stripped off.
b)Screen size limited to 2-3 Inches
Any pointers on feasibility of this customization and pointers to a newbie to get started on this task.
