Hello, everyone.
I own a Kobo Arc - it's a delightful ICS tablet but I'm itching for root. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a PC at the moment, let alone with the SDK. I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Ace, running Gingerbread, a non root generic MID tablet running ICS and my arc.
All of the devices have a third party SSH server/client and the Terminal Emulator app.
The MID tablet, currently not at root, has a USB type A host port, the other two have micro-client ports.
With these tools, is there anything I can attempt, that anyone knows of?
I know that in the past there've been apks that attempt exploits from the device itself.. how about this route?
Arc specs:
Android 4.0.4 (API lvl 15)
ARMv7 rev 10 (v7l) dual-core@1500MHz
Kernel: 3.0.31 build@kb-bd-lin32-001 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Nov 23 15:33:35 EST 2012
Build: IMM76L.439
Any help, ideas, suggestions are much appreciated.
