[Q] trying to mod candycrush saga

i have downloaded and install apktool in order to modify candy crush saga for extra lives etc . whilst i have been successful in doing this the recompiled apk will install and play but will not allow connection to facebook . is this possibly some kind of signing issue or am i missing something more simple
