[Q] Adding Launcher Customization to Cooked Rom

Hey Guys,

I've been trying to build my own rom with some success, but can't seem t find a good tutorial/guide or even a bit of info on how to add customizations to the home/launcher screen. For instance I want certain icons to be in the launcher screen after someone flashes the rom, how exactly would I do this?
